How do I apply?/ Is there a deadline for applications?

What kind of presentation is expected? How long are they?
We are asking all presenters to use Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. Each company will have a 15 minute presentation slot.

Can I edit my company's profile?
Yes. Please go to the Partnering page of this site. You'll have to enter the username and password you submitted while entering your registration/application. Please note, that usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.

How much is the presentation fee? Does it include registration? Do I have to register separately?
The presentation fee is 850 euro/US$1,050 for BIO members and 1,150 euro/US$1,350 for non-members.
Each company representative will be charged the registration fee of 1,595 euro/US$1,795 before August 31 and 1,795/US$1,995 euro after August 31, 2008.
With your Application to Present you are automatically registered for the conference. There is no need to register separately.


How do I submit my presentation (tech specs)?
To ensure a technically flawless BIO-Europe 2008 event, we are asking all presenters to send their Microsoft PowerPoint presentations on CD-ROM (no multi-session) to:

- Videos should be in a .AVI (MediaPlayer) or .MOV (Quicktime) format.
- If you want to bring a MAC presentation please let us know before the conference and make sure you check your presentation
  with the AV staff onsite before your presentation is held.

You can exhibit at BIO-Europe 2008 by becoming an official sponsor of the event.
As you will see (click on link above), the Sponsorship also includes a variety of other benefits such as complimentary tickets and exposure in all conference-related marketing materials.
We also have a limited number of exhibition booths available for non-sponsoring companies.
The price for a 3x2 meter exhibition space is €4,900.

Do I get an ad in the Conference CD?
Yes. This year's conference CD will include an electronic ad for each sponsoring company (please provide ad).

Registration

How do I register as a Regular Attendee?
Please submit the online registration form on our website. You will receive a confirmation via email.

How do I register as a Biotech Presenter?
Please submit the Application to Present form on our website. The deadline is July 11, 2008. Selected companies will be notified in mid August.

How do I register as a Midsize Pharma Presenter?
Please submit the Application to Present form on our website. The deadline is July 11, 2008. Selected companies will be notified in mid August.

How do I register as an Additional Attendee
Please complete a separate regular registration form for each additional attendee.

Can I register onsite?
Yes. Note, that the onsite registration fee is €1,895. Payment is required onsite, by credit card (VISA, Master) or cash in US Dollars.

Is it possible to attend the conference for one day?
No. Only full conference passes are available.

Can I share my registration pass with my colleagues?
No. Conferences passes are not transferable.

Invoicing

When will I receive an invoice?
We will send you an invoice with information on methods of payment shortly after your registration.
Presenting companies will receive an invoice shortly after they have been selected. To guarantee the early registration discount (deadline August 31, 2008) payments must be received by September 19, 2008.

What are the methods of payment?
You have the choice to pay by credit card, check or wire transfer. Details can be found on the invoice you will receive after your registration.

What happens if I have not paid my registration fee before the conference?
You will have to register again onsite and pay the higher onsite registration fee of € 1,895.

Can I send a replacement?
Yes. Please register your replacement online and mention in the comment field "replacement for XY".

Cancellation

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be received in writing by September 26, 2008, to Tom Voigt at tvoigt@ebdgroup.com to receive a refund (minus a processing fee of € 250). Refunds will be processed after BIO-Europe 2008.

After September 26, 2008, the full registration fee is applicable. However, you may send a replacement from your company.
No-shows will be billed as we are fulfilling our event obligations.

How do I reserve a hotel room?
Please visit our Hotel & Travel page, complete the form and fax it directly to the hotel of your choice. The hotel will send you a confirmation of your reservation.

Company Profiles

What are the profiles used for?
Company profiles will be made available to all other participants on the conference website beginning October 2008.
They will also be published in the conference CD.
Presenting and poster companies will be selected based on the corporate profiles they submitted.

What's the deadline for submitting a profile?
Companies that apply to present have to submit a profile by July 11, 2008. Deadline for changes to the profiles to be included in the conference CD is October 24, 2008.
Changes made after October 24 will only be reflected on the website but not in the conference CD.

Can I edit my company profile?
Please visit the Partnering section of this site to edit your company profile. You'll have to enter the username and password you submitted while entering your registration/application. Your confirmation email contains your username and password.

Can I send my company profile as a Word document/PDF file/etc.?
No. We accept only those profiles submitted through our website.

I lost my password. What now?
Please use the password reminder. Your username and password will be sent to your address immediately.

My username/password doesn't work. What now?
Please enter your username and password exactly as entered on the registration/application form. Note, that usernames and passwords are case-sensitive (A is not equal to a, etc.).
Your confirmation email contains your username and password.

Can I paste text from our website into the profile?
Please don't. Text copied from websites often contains invisible codes that cause problems.
