Advanced Business Development Course 2014

Take your skills to the next level by working directly with colleagues in a hands-on, practical course that uses a realistic business case!
The Advanced Business Development Course is designed for business development professionals interested in bringing their skills in valuation, due diligence, negotiation and contracts to the next level. During this intense, three-day session attendees will receive hands-on, advanced training from veteran business development professionals and legal advisers using real world case studies. In addition, attendees will be split into two teams to conduct a mock negotiation over a clinical stage compound.
This course has been organized for life science business development professionals by the Biotechnology Industry Organization in collaboration with EBD Group. The faculty is drawn from among the most experienced business development professionals in the biotech drug development industry as well as big pharma, many of whom have been instructors in other programs, and all of whom have extensive experience in the biotech industry.
The course will cover basic topics and skills crucial to every business development professional in the industry, including:
- Valuation skills
- Intellectual property
- Due diligence
- Negotiation and influence strategies

China Forum 2014
November 2, 2014
China Forum 2014 will be a full day event, bringing together China-based life science executives with their counterparts from Europe and the rest of the world. The event will provide insights into recent developments of the rapidly changing life science industry in China.
Executives from China and the West will discuss partnering opportunities and attendees will gain essential knowledge on how to step into new marketplaces. In an interactive setting, attendees from Western countries will hear what it takes to succeed in China, and Chinese executives will learn how to leverage their business by partnering with European and American companies.
China Forum will precede EBD Group's international partnering conference, BIO-Europe 2014.

EU-Japan Cluster Matchmaking Event

The EU-Japan Cluster Matchmaking Event—financially supported by the European Commission (http://www.clustercollaboration.eu)—will take place during the first afternoon of BIO-Europe at the Portalhaus Messe Frankfurt on November 3. It provides the perfect opportunity to gain an overview of the strengths of the Japanese life sciences landscapes and clusters in the health care sector.
Speakers from four leading Japanese life science clusters and from Japan Bioindustry Association (JBA) will present the vast array of opportunities that the Japanese pharma and health market offers to European companies.
