Next Generation Presentation Application

BioPharm America™ invites innovative start-ups, spin-offs and technology transfer departments to apply to present in the “Next Generation” (NXT) Presentation Track.

To help bring early stage companies and technologies to the attention of established medtech companies, large corporations and investors, BioPharm America will feature a limited number of 7-minute presentation slots, at discounted presentation and registration fees.

Requirements

Applicants are eligible if they are an academic technology transfer department OR if they are a company which:

  • Was created in the past four years
  • Has fewer than 25 employees
  • Has a product not yet on the market
  • Has never presented at an EBD Group event before

A panel of industry experts will select the technologies to be presented. The panel will make each decision based on the technology profile that is submitted, taking into consideration the potential interest of medical technology companies, consistency with BioPharm America's focus, and the licensability of the technology.

  • Companies that apply to present must submit their profile for evaluation (deadline May 21, 2010)
  • The NXT registration fee only applies to companies selected for a NXT presentation and is not available to non-presenting companies even if the criteria for a NXT company are met.
  • Additional attendees of a NXT presenting company will also qualify for  the NXT registration fee.
  • The NXT registration fee cannot be combined with any other discount such as a delegation discount.
  • Companies with two full paying delegates will receive one complimentary ticket for the fourth attendee from that company.

Your registration covers

  • Submission of up to 150 requests per company for one-to-one meetings during the conference
  • Access to all workshops, presentations, and panel discussions
  • Access to the exhibit area
  • Publication of your company and personal profile on partneringONE®, BioPharm America’s partnering system
  • Breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks
  • Dinner events during the conference

Application form/Deadlines

We will notify you about the status/outcome of your application by mid-June, 2010.  The notification will also contain a link to your online invoice and payment instructions.

Company profile

Your profile will be published in the password-protected Partnering section of the BioPharm America website.

Presentation guidelines

Each company will be allowed 7 minutes for their presentation, which should focus on the following areas:

  • Brief corporate background
  • Existing alliances
  • Development status of key technology and product candidates
  • Type of alliances sought

Payment

Presenting companies will receive an invoice shortly after they have been selected.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations must be sent by July 31, 2010 to Gail Bendert at gbendert@ebdgroup.com to receive a refund (minus a USD 250 processing fee) or the full registration and, if applicable, presenting fee will be charged. Refunds will be processed after BioPharm America 2010.

After July 31, 2010, the full registration fee is applicable. However, a paid up registration is transferable to a replacement from your company.

Please note that no-shows will be billed for the full registration fee and, if applicable, the full presentation fee.
