EuroMedtech™ 2012 looks to set new benchmark for productive partnering

Zurich, Switzerland and Grenoble, France – December 5, 2011: Leaders from the international medical technology industry will gather May 31 to June 1, 2012 in Grenoble, France for the fourth annual EuroMedtech™ partnering conference. In 2011, the conference played host to more than 260 delegates representing 205 companies from 27 countries who engaged in 741 one-to-one partnering meetings. In addition, there were eight workshops and panel sessions and 45 presentations by medtech companies seeking financing, licensing opportunities or partners for advancing product development.

"Shifts in the world's population and new therapeutic breakthroughs have affected healthcare priorities for medical technology companies," said Carola Schropp, President, EBD Group. "With EuroMedtech, we want to help companies face these growing challenges now and for the road ahead."

EuroMedtech 2011 exceeded expectations with a 14% increase in the number of one-to-one meetings over 2010, facilitating participants' ability to meet with numerous potential partners and discuss in- and out-licensing, financing and other collaborative programs. EuroMedtech 2012 will again feature the popular Next Generation Presentation track for young companies and the Medtech Leaders Presentation track for large medtech corporations

"We are very happy to welcome the medtech industry leaders to Grenoble next year. The Grenoble region has a dynamic medtech sector with young innovative companies as well as international leaders who are excited to host EuroMedtech 2012, to exchange ideas about the future of the industry and to build fruitful partnerships with all attendees," said Cécile Real, President of Adebag.
