Leaders from the international medical technology industry will gather May 7–8 in Duesseldorf, Germany for the fifth annual EuroMedtech™ partnering conference. In 2012, the conference hosted more than 300 delegates representing 205 companies from 22 countries who engaged in 755 one-to-one partnering meetings. In addition to insightful workshops and panel sessions, the event featured 34 presentations by medtech companies seeking financing, licensing opportunities or partners for advancing product development.
“The consumerization of medical products has expanded its reach, in part due to the advances in technology which give greater access to advanced medical products to more far reaching communities around the world. And with this, there is increased desire for medical products that make people’s lives easier day-to-day,” said Carola Schropp, President, EBD Group. “EuroMedtech is devoted to bringing together investors and manufacturers with innovative companies developing novel technologies and devices to meet this need.”
EuroMedtech has continued to grow, and the Duesseldorf event is expected to exceed previous years’ attendance. The number of one-to-one meetings has increased by 15% since 2010, making this Europe’s leading medical technology partnering conference facilitating participants’ ability to meet with numerous potential partners and discuss in- and out-licensing, financing and other collaborative programs. EuroMedtech 2013 will again feature the popular Next Generation Presentation track for young entrepreneurial companies and the Company Presentation track for innovative medtech corporations.
EuroMedtech caters to companies involved in all parts of the advanced medical technology industry, from those serving mainline therapeutic categories such as drug delivery and augmented intervention in medicine, through diagnostics, imaging and eHealth to those involved in platform technologies such as micro and nanotechnological tools and implantable devices. Companies interested in presenting should apply online by March 1, 2013 atwww.ebdgroup.com/emt/presenters/index.php.
